How loud is the Solar Rock Multi-Sync?


The ION Solar Rock Multi-Sync includes a 30-Watt 6.5-inch full-range speaker and powerful onboard amplifier.

 

Is the Solar Rock Multi-Sync waterproof?


The ION Solar Rock Multi-Sync has an IPX5 water resistance rating. Though the speaker is water-resistant and able to tolerate splashing water, please review the tips below to get the best performance from the Solar Rock Multi-Sync:

  • Bring the Solar Rock Multi-Sync indoors during extreme cold, heavy rain, or melting snow.
  • Please do not place Solar Rock Multi-Sync in standing water.
  • Please do not connect the charging adapter to Solar Rock Multi-Sync in a wet environment.

Note: The  Solar Rock Multi-Sync is not meant to be submerged underwater.

 

Is the Solar Rock Multi-Sync battery powered?


Absolutely! The fastest way to charge the speaker is by powering it off and using the included 15 V, 2 A Charging Adapter to connect to wall power.

The time required for a full charge is 6 hours. Once the Solar Rock Multi-Sync is fully charged, you will have up to a 36-hour battery life.

 

How do I charge the Solar Rock Multi-Sync with the Solar Panel?


The Solar Rock Multi-Sync's battery life can be prolonged between charges by using the solar panel. For best results, place the Solar Rock Multi-Sync in an area that receives at least 3 hours of direct sunlight a day. The rate of charging depends on the amount of sunlight the solar panel receives. The unit will charge slower when receiving indirect sunlight.

 

How do I pair my Solar Rock Multi-Sync to my Bluetooth device?


Please follow these steps to connect your Bluetooth Device:

  1. Power on the Solar Rock Multi-Sync by holding down the Power button for 2 seconds. The Solar Rock Multi-Sync will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode indicated by the Bluetooth LED flashing blue.
  2. Navigate to your device’s Bluetooth setup screen, find  Solar Rock Multi-Sync, and connect. When connected, the Bluetooth LED will be lit solid blue and you will hear “Connected”.
  3. To disconnect, turn off Bluetooth from your device’s Bluetooth settings.

Note: If you experience trouble in connecting to the  Solar Rock Multi-Sync, select “Forget this Device” on your Bluetooth device and try to connect again.

 

How do I sync multiple Solar Rock Multi-Syncs together?


  1. Connect your device to the primary speaker via Bluetooth using the directions above. Then, press the Sync button to enter Multi-Sync Mode on the primary speaker. The Bluetooth LED will be lit solid blue and the Sync LED will be lit solid green.
  2. Make sure the additional speaker(s) you would like to sync to the primary speaker is within range of the primary speaker, and power it on.
  3. Press the Sync button on the secondary speaker(s). The Sync LED will flash green to indicate the speaker is in Multi-Sync Mode. If the primary speaker is in range and also in Multi-Sync Mode, the speakers will then automatically link.
  4. Once linked, the Sync LED will be lit solid green on the secondary speaker(s) and the audio playing from the primary speaker will play from the synced speaker(s).

 

The Audio output is distorted. What is happening and how can I fix this?


You could be experiencing audio distortion due to a couple of reasons. Here are some helpful steps:

  • Make sure that the device you have connected via Bluetooth has its volume set to 80% and then raise the volume on the speaker to your preference. Maximizing the volume on the device could distort the overall output.
  • Try using a different device (for testing purposes) to see if you get the same behavior. We want to make sure it's not the Bluetooth chip on the device that is faulty.
