The ION Audio Sound XP app is an alternate way to control your speaker's settings, stream music, and change features right from the comfort of your phone. It is not required to use any ION product but offers a more streamlined approach to controlling your ION experience from your mobile device.

 

Where can I download the ION Sound XP App?


The Sound XP app is available for download on both the Play Store and the App Store!

How do I connect to the app? 

  1. First, download the ION Sound XP app from your mobile device's app store
  2. Navigate to your Bluetooth control panel and select your speaker to begin Bluetooth pairing. Follow the hardware-specific Bluetooth pairing instructions located in your Quickstart Guide.

  3. Begin streaming audio from your streaming service of choice. 

  4. Launch the ION Sound XP application to control your music and speaker functions remotely!

     

I see two Bluetooth items for my speaker in the Bluetooth list, which do I choose?


Each compatible ION Speaker connects via two different Bluetooth profiles. To connect to the Sound XP app, make sure you are selecting the profile that has "BLE" in the title, like "Pathfinder 4_BLE".

 

What does it mean if an option is grayed out in my app?


Our product line is varied, with some speakers including additional functions like controllable lights. If a feature is grayed out within the app, it indicates that the connected speaker does not use or is not compatible with the selected function.
